Liberty Loses its Mail Route,
Does Not Like It
Whatcha know about it? The Liberty School district has lost its rural mail service and we are isolated from the outside world without means of communication. Too bad, just at the beginning of elections when all are anxious to get morning papers to read the proposals that is dished out to us by aspiring candidates; but nothing is so bad but that it could be worse. We still have the Continental Congress, a lusty political youngster that may be able to help us enlightened.
Rufe Bolts and Ocie Faudree had a trip to Durant Friday and learned something about the cause of our losing the mail route that are not for publication yet; hot on track of something not as clean(r?). Our Liberty Mens’ Business Club is doing some good work for our community and confidently expects to have the service reinstated in a short time.
The Women’s Canning Club had some reverses in their work on account of measles that demanded their entire time for the time; but we expect great things of them very soon.
School had to dismiss two weeks on account of measles, but are now going in good shape.
Elmer Cas Corbett of the Pentecostal faith authorizes us to say he would preach at Liberty the third Sunday of April; everyone is cordially invited to hear him.
Elder T. L. Ward holds service at Liberty the first Sunday in each month to which the public is cordially invited.
