Election Was Quiet
The election Tuesday came off without much difficulty and was peaceable. The influence of the women was noticeable in this as there was a crowd of women at the polls all day.
The vote was very heavy, larger perhaps than any (in the) history of Bryan County.
There was one ticket endorsed by the F.L.U.A. and Anti-Klan, composed of some old officers and some new. Then there were regular democrats running the regular way.
Caddo west box polled 400 democratic votes. The east box polled 300 votes.
Very few republican ballots were cast.

McCurley Wins
From the best figures the Herald has been able to get, it appears that J. H. McCurley has won the race for state senate from Bryan, Atoka, and Coal counties. The vote as we were able to get it, is as follows:
McCurley…5,922
Crossett…5,386
Rappolee…2,547
The official vote in the three counties has never been published.
