W.M. Society
The W.M.S. met Monday in an all day prayer service at the Methodist church with Rev. Slack leading the devotional meeting at 10am, Mrs. J.W. Smith at 1pm, and at 4pm the Juniors had charge giving a playlette directed by Mrs. Lee Hancock and Charleen Hogue. The children acted their parts well, and the program was highly appreciated by the large number in attendance.
The offering of the meeting was contributed to the Souchow School in China.
Tuesday the society held an interesting meeting at the home of Mrs. J. W. Smith with Mrs. Tom Gross as leader.
Tuesday, November 7, we met at the home of Mrs. Carl Johnson, the hostess being assisted by Mrs. G. L. Williams. Mrs. McIntosh, secretary, was absent and Mrs. Tom Gross acted in her stead. This was Mrs. McIntosh’s first time to be absent in about three years and she was greatly missed.
Mrs. Lee Hancock gave a splendid report from the Junior Society.
Mission Study Class of adults had reached the 100 per centum goal.
A box valued at $21 was sent to Wesley House at Wilberton as reported by Mrs. Tom Gross.
Parsonage committee reported that a new coal heater had been place in the parsonage.
One hundred visits were made last month.
We will have a Christmas bazaar the first Saturday in December.
