Red Seal Year Starts Saturday
The Red Seal merchants of Caddo will start the Red Seal year with a big public auction at three o’clock, Saturday, February 28th. At this auction many valuable articles of merchandise out of their stock will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, the amount bid to be paid in Red Seal money that is now being given by our Red Seal merchants on all purchases made at their stores.
This auction is the forerunner of many interesting events that will be held in Caddo during the year by Red Seal merchants. A public auction will be held each month at one of the stores of the Red Seal merchants. Special events will be had: Boys’ Stunts, a Beauty Contest, and a big Balloon Ascension. The purpose of these events is to bring all the people together frequently to have our neighboring friends visit us, all of which will make Caddo a better place in which to live and do business.
At the auction Feb. 28th articles for each member of the family will be put up for auction- silk hose for the ladies, shirts for the men, and something for the girls and boys. Food for the table, something for your car, something for the farm, in fact, something for everyone. All to be sold to the highest bidder for Red Seal money only.
Naturally, the one who gets the most valuable article will be the one who has the most Red Seal money and any Red Seal merchant will start you off by giving you a Red Seal dollar bill’ you can get one now, that is if you haven’t already got one, by calling on any Red Seal Merchant.
The main idea is to have plenty of Red Seal money on hand Saturday so that you can get the article you want most when it’s put up for auction. Don’t forget the date- next Saturday afternoon at three o’clock.
