You are so right. Arvl & I are appaled at the lack of decent programs. I have better dreams than what is on TV.

That is why I like Netflix. I can find something that interests me on it. Old movies, history documentaries, etc. You are right, Mary, they program for the lowest common denominator.


We have cable (not the extra pay stations like HBO) and there is still nothing worth watching most of the time. Only positive is On Demand - you can choose shows to watch and fast forward through commercials.


I have to echo the beauty that is Netflix (and Amazon instant video that comes with Amazon Prime) and HuluPlus. But then, the majority of shows are shown online on their network stations too.

Though rarely do we care to watch much and a quick internet speed is required.

Even given all the on demand options, there truly is very little to be found in general.

Good luck on figuring out how to have any influence on programming as a regular human being.
