July is the last month of freedom for Mrs. Maurer, so she had better get her list out and finish some projects:
Finish cleaning and rearranging the “spare room”.
Mulch the flowerbeds (today!).
Clean the patio.
Clean out the kitchen cabinets.
Post about fifty headstone photos to Find A Grave. (I’ve taken the photos, just haven’t posted them.)
Visit the courthouse for some obscure records needed for my book. (I put this off because it is tedious.)
Wash the “seat pockets” and foam floor mats from my classroom. (Twenty-five of each.)
Take some things to Goodwill. (They are ready to go and sitting in the spare room. Just been too busy to drop them off.)
Shampoo the carpets.
Finish as much of my book research as possible. (Hope to complete both books by October.)
Plus…daily watering, weeding, photography, cleaning, laundry, reading, blogging, emailing, and FB!
I hate that so many things on my list include cleaning! Makes me sound either very lazy because I put it off until summer, or obsessive because I do it at all! lol
We don’t have any big plans for the fourth. Gary will work most of the day and then we will relax with some watermelon. We can see lots of fireworks in all directions from here on the hill!
Please drive carefully today and tomorrow. Lots of people are trying to get together with family and friends. And even though it is a somewhat “minor” holiday in our year, please pray for those who will be trying to celebrate it without a relative. I know many friends and family members have lost loved ones in the past six months.
