I start each day with visions of how much I am going to accomplish because, after all, I have “all day”! However, the day seldom turns out exactly as planned. Things happen. Problems arise. People call. Energy wanes. FB beckons. I know all of my teacher friends must be having similar experiences.
Today I tackled the messy room that I call my office. It has three desks, two computers, three book shelves, two file cabinets, and a big closet. Still not enough storage space to keep all of my papers, photos, books, research files, elephant collection, and miscellaneous “stuff” neat and organized. Or perhaps the neat and organized part is simply a failure on my part. After four hours of cleaning and paper shredding today, I have to admit that someone is lacking something!! Oh well, there is always tomorrow, and perhaps part of the next day.
Besides, I need to spend less time cleaning and more time writing! I read an article in a well-known publication today. I could have written it in my sleep and the photos that accompanied it were not as good as the ones I have in my file on the subject. But I have to give the author credit for having the motivation to submit it to the magazine. I just need to get mine in gear!
Still enjoying the new blooms in the garden, but not accomplishing much there either. It is still too wet to do several of the tasks that need to be done. I read an interesting article about transplanting and I hope to be brave and try a few of the somewhat radical suggestions.
Hope your new week is off to a great start!!
