I used my extra time wisely yesterday- laundry, cleaning, lunch with Robert, research at the library, grocery shopping at Walmart, ladies’ devotional at a friend’s house. Such a blessing to get together with a group of Christian women. So many gatherings that I attend are all about business and service and community problems. Bible study and singing were a welcome change.
Today hasn’t gone quite as well. I had planned some gardening activities, but decided that wasn’t a good idea in a cold 30mph wind. So I finished the laundry, did some reading, and spent three hours editing and uploading 40 headstone photos to Find A Grave. I often ponder how closely linked our lives are to the weather conditions. Or maybe it’s just wimpy me.
As long as I’m not thinking deep thoughts, accomplishing anything I had planned, or standing on my soapbox I might as well share a few random food thoughts with you.
What exactly is a “mozzarella-style cheese product”? Gary likes to take the Jimmy Dean Delights breakfast sandwiches to work when he works the early shift. I usually buy the turkey sausage, egg, and cheese on flatbread for him, but my eye was distracted by the box next to it: egg white with spinach and mozzarella-style cheese product. Huh?
When and why do you decide to feed M&Ms to an infant? The woman in line next to me at Walmart was feeding them to a child who looked less than two years old.
I have had an odd assortment of minor health problems for about six months and finally did enough research to suspect they might be associated with consuming too much soy. Sure enough, when I eliminated the most concentrated forms of it from my diet the problems resolved. And I experienced a bonus benefit: less night-time leg pain than I have had in a year. Haven’t even taken a Tylenol in weeks!
I watched the Recipe Rehab show today and the conversion of grilled stuffed pork from a death wish (1,800 calories and 9,000mg sodium) to something a person could actually eat without a doctor on standby. Who eats like that? How could you possibly add that much sodium to anything and how in the world do you build up enough tolerance for salt to eat something like that without gagging?
Always on the lookout for new and different products. Let me know if you try something new and really like it!
