Just a few photos from yesterday's stroll in the garden. The flowers are a little wind blown and a few have fallen over. I put stakes next to some. Someone asked why I don't grow gladiolas. One-word answer: wind!

I prefer the bloom support stakes that look like a long metal rod with a loop on the end. I get terrible winds by the lake intermittently. If my iris, peony, gladiolus, lilies and others aren't staked, they get demolished.
I find the process of staking annoying when I have to do more than use those handy little guys. Maybe I'm just too lazy to stake and tie or stake and strap.
