I didn’t do much today beyond a few normal household chores, a little research, and some work on a jigsaw puzzle. But I did manage to get outside for a few minutes, despite the rain and winds. I trimmed a few more dead plants that I should have taken care of in the fall. I took inventory of the perennials rapidly returning, and of course I took these photos of wet flowers. In case you don't recognize it, the blue flowered plant is rosemary.
I should backtrack to mention that I started the pre-dawn hour with a cup of coffee and my binoculars in order to see if the Redhead that I spotted yesterday was still on the pond. It was, but what caught my eye was the large bobcat on the far side of the pond!! I watched him for several minutes, regretting all the while that it was too dark for a photo.
We “spring forward” tonight as we once again embrace daylight saving time. Despite continued controversy about its usefulness I appreciate the extra hour of gardening/photography time at the end of the day. And in just a few days it will officially be spring!

Your extra hour of daylight gives you a huge amount to view. I would be excited too!
