I received a “thank you” email from someone this weekend about something I did last year. Last year…
It was something routine for me, something I would do for almost anyone without giving it much thought or expecting much of a consequence- certainly not a thank you so much later. And I might add that I also received a “thank you” at the time, so this one was totally unexpected. But the recipient wanted me to know that my small act had also affected others.
We don’t often think that the little things we do today will have a lasting impact on others. We are most often concerned about the big community projects and the important causes, not the little acts of kindness available to us each day.
A friend of mine also relayed a similar story to me this week. She included someone in an activity, almost as an afterthought, and it resulted in blessing him and a whole group of other people.
Food for thought…
Little things do mean a lot.
Let us pray that we are ripples on the water today- spreading goodness and hope to others we may never even meet!

Would surely please God if we considered others rather than ourselves. A good reminder for me. Thank u, Mary.
