I did some things today that I will probably regret in the morning. There are some aspects of gardening that are just not good for legs and knees and backs. But they are so very good for heart and mind and soul. Many people search for calm and peace in meditation or medications, but I find mine outside in the yard, in the sun and the wind and the dirt. So the fact that I worked in the garden for four hours today will not surprise anyone. After all, who could resist putting 40 of these pink beauties in the ground? And I had to plant 50 more yellow ones just for balance. And then I moved some perennials and two young trees and a couple of shrubs and some daylilies….
I was sort of smart. I worked a couple of hours, then rested a couple of hours, then worked two more. However, I’m very much out of shape and I can already feel a few twinges here and there. LOL But even if I can barely move in the morning, I promise not to complain. The thought of having a better garden next year will help me cope.

Those are stunning. I hope you recovered quickly.
