Gary is off this weekend and our plan was to stay home: rest, relax, read, and watch the Olympics. I did my grocery shopping yesterday so we could skip the “tax-free weekend” school shopping frenzy that is no doubt taking place at this very moment.
However well-intentioned my “rest and relax” plan was, I forgot the wisdom often imparted by my grandmother- “A woman’s work is never done.” So by 9am I had washed, dried and folded three loads of laundry, watered the trees and perennial beds, watered my house plants, swept the kitchen, made pasta salad and boiled some eggs for lunch, made sugar water for the hummingbirds, dusted one of the bookshelves, taken out the trash, typed my Caddo blog post, and edited twenty photos.
Now…
Now I’m going to rest and relax.
As soon as I post this…
or after I clean the aquarium.
Have a restful day!

Saw a blurb on the news that OK was being swept by wildfires -- anywhere near you?
