Off to a frustrating start this morning with some computer problems. I hate to sit down to do something and then have the computer balk at every turn! So I will not attempt any deep philosophical musings this morning. Just a few random thoughts:
I have not mentioned my diet lately, and I’m sure a few of you are thankful. Lol However, for those who are curious I have mixed reviews for my “everyday foods” plan. I am still eating most of my daily foods. I do find it difficult to eat carrots. Just not a big fan! So I have just expanded on the concept of eating “orange” foods to include bell peppers. I manage something from that color group about three times a week. Still eating too much cheese, rice, pasta. However, that will decrease with the weather. I know myself and my cravings. I will not miss rice or pasta at all when the weather warms up. I have increased my consumption of eggs, and decreased “fake meat” to almost nothing. I have not been eating tofu, although I like it. Just can’t keep a big package fresh! Can’t someone start putting that stuff in smaller packages? All of my “numbers” from my latest lab tests were wonderful and I’m losing a slow, slow pound per week. Just can’t move much with this uncooperative foot!
The yard is just glorious right now. Flowers pop out on a daily basis and the critters are busy, busy. Yesterday the bluebirds (two pairs) and a wren were busy flying back and forth to their houses. Butterflies were out in groups; I counted six buckeyes! The squirrel and two rabbits were running around snacking. Crows, doves, cardinals, and sparrows were at the feeders. Spring is my favorite time of year!
I worked on my lesson plans yesterday for the last two weeks of school. The LAST TWO WEEKS. I am both happy and sad. Also astounded that it is time once again to say goodbye to another class.
Making vacation plans! You can find me on the beach in Monterey on June 14! Doesn’t that sound like fun?
Later….

Why does going downhill go by so quickly? Uphill is a slow, slow trudge and then we speed through the happy times.
Beach? Green with envy!
