Yes, I am alive and well. Thankfully I have ended by contract with Wild Blue satellite services after a frustrating week of phone calls and disappointment. They are seriously lacking in customer service and I doubt they care about the loss of one customer, but I was frankly shocked by the fact that the replacement of a modem and an upgrade of our services was beyond their capabilities. We have been a customer for several years, have never had a problem, never before required a service call, and never missed a payment. Yet, our current problem was not resolved, and none of our phone calls were returned. We were simply told, by three different representatives from the technical and sales departments that they had a "system error" and would get back to us in 72 hours. After eight days we simply gave up. So once again I am posting at the library. Our new satellite service will be installed Friday.
I have been enjoying a pleasant break, despite the deluge of water. We are never happy. We complained on a daily basis about the drought last summer, and now that the solution is here, we have to complain a bit about the flooding. Bridges are out and a few roads are closed, ponds are overflowing. I took photos of the water lapping over the dock and will post them when I am back online. When the rain finally stopped I took 200 photos of wet flowers. Will share soon!
I'm still living my boring little life and doing the things I always do. Work is going well on the Bennington Church records. My new Caddo book, "Fine Men and Fashionable Ladies" is available at Craighead's and from the Bryan County Genealogy Library. I'm getting the garden in shape. Cleaning cabinets and closets. Taking summer clothes out of storage. Reading a good book. Just finished the last jigsaw puzzle for the winter. Thinking about the last few weeks of school. Planning summer vacation. Getting ready to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Life is good! Just want to get back to sharing my daily blessings with you! Have a great day!

Glad you will have your technology problems resolved soon.
