“Do…or Do not. There is no try.”
I’ve been thinking a lot about this truth lately.
We love to talk about effort and progress and trying to do our best. We like to think that any attempts at betterment will eventually lead to success. In one sense that is true, but I’m beginning to fully understand how important the effort is and how useless the talk is. I’m beginning to notice how many people, especially people in positions of power, talk about “trying” to get things done, but in the end all they do is talk and plan, and talk some more about their plans.
There are some serious problems to be solved in our country.
There are some major changes on the horizon.
There are some people who are in a position to make things better.
There is no “maybe” or “perhaps” that will make us a great country again.
There is only yes or no, black or white, do or do not.

Now you understand that you are the 99%, too...

I'm a 99%. But my part of the 99% is just ignoring all the liars and feeling hopeless to affect change.
