There have been very few birds in the yard for about two weeks and I was beginning to worry a bit about the effects of the drought. Even the woodpecker has been absent and nary a cardinal has graced our bird bath. But last night they returned with their cheerful chatter and encouraged me to take a walk around the yard. I’m glad they coaxed me out, because I found several other little bits of nature to enjoy!

Do you use a tripod when you take photos?

No, I don't use a tripod. I have two and would probably get better results if I used them, but I'm far too lazy. And many of my bird photos are taken through my kitchen window while I'm supposed to be cooking dinner. lol

The clarity on these photos is amazing.
