Okay, today is Friday. So by the end of today we will have completed our first week of school. I have to say that Mrs. Maurer is still in transition mode and has not fully adjusted to the concrete floors, heat, and busy bodies. I fell asleep on the couch last night at 7:30!! Lol Well, at least I am taking my own advice and taking care of myself. Breakfast and vitamins this morning for sure! And a dose of allergy medicine. How can so many of us have sinus problems when nothing is growing?
There has been a depressing absence of birds lately and the silence is eerie. I’m not sure if the birds are dying or simply heading north early. Thankfully there were five birds at the feeders last night- a dove, woodpecker, sparrow, mockingbird, and cardinal. Perhaps the others will return soon.
I have nothing exciting to say this morning and no plans for the weekend beyond grocery shopping and surviving the predicted 107 temperature!
