My great-aunt’s daughter called me last night. I haven’t heard her voice in a hundred years! Okay, so that may be a slight exaggeration, but it seems like a hundred years. She is one of those people that I assumed was still “out there” somewhere, but had long ago lost track of. And once again I have the internet to thank for bringing us together. Gotta love Google!
It is such a joy to talk to someone who remembers people and events from your childhood. As family members leave us our recollections of them often begin to cloud and fade until we start talking with another person who helps jumpstart our memories with little bits and pieces or their own. And joy of joys, my cousin is working on her side of our family tree! More information and photos- yes!
And speaking of my childhood, today is my brother’s birthday and August 7 is another brother’s birthday, so I am posting my three favorite photos of them. They are close in age and always seemed to be “joined at the hip”. LOL Happy Birthday Dan and Jim!
