I realized during my walk this weekend that I was looking on the horizon at the water tower that sits in front of our old house four miles away. It was a brief reminder of how much has changed in just a few short years.
Change has been a constant in my life. As you know I’ve moved more times (51) than most people can believe. We knew we had found a home after just a few years here, but coming up is an anniversary that will surprise even members of my family. It shocked us when we realized it. This summer will be our 20th year in Oklahoma! Yes, I’m going to pull out my journals so I can get the exact date and celebrate it.
The view from here is very different from the view we had in California. We have changed a lot of things because of this state-our environment, our occupations, even some of our hobbies. It’s been an interesting and rewarding experience. There may be more moves ahead for us; one never knows what the future holds. But I hope our view doesn’t change too much and that we stay close to the land we now hold so dear.
