I love to flip the calendar to March and usually do so with a sigh of relief. March means spring. I don’t care if there is a brief cold front here and there. March is the official mark of the new season and I can see it on the calendar now: March 20, First day of Spring.
I’ll be wearing out my welcome at Lowe’s very soon. I need potting soil and mulch and plants and new gloves… I think there is also a new riding mower in our future. Gary and I are both getting too old, or too lazy, to push a mower around for hours each week.
March is also my “oh my goodness, where did the year go?” month for school planning. I can now see the rest of my themes and lessons on one brief page of notes. The materials I need are contained in a few file folders. Just a few weeks left to prepare my little chicks for the transition to first grade. How did this happen? What have I forgotten? What more can I do? Panic…lol
Our son’s birthday is March 13. Great-nephew’s birthday is the 26th. More celebrating!
Spring break is right around the corner. Hopefully the week of March 14 will be all about sunshine and warmth and flowers.
March makes me smile!

May is spring around here. But March is closer to spring so I'll take it.
Noah is super excited about his birthday. He insisted on a birthday hat at the dollar store a few weeks ago. He wears it asking for birthday cake, presents and balloons. Sounds like he's already planned his party. Now his mama just has to figure out how to make it rocket/space themed.
Keep taking and sharing those beautiful spring pictures!!!
