I was thrilled by yesterday’s rainfall and took a walk around the yard. Everything already looks like it is beginning to recover from the heat and drought of August.
The raccoon family is missing a sibling- I suspect it is the one I saw on the highway a couple of days ago. The car is their worst enemy around here.
One of the babies chose to get into mischief last night. He climbed on top of the bluebird house and began pulling out the nesting material. Note to self: install some kind of deterrent before next spring! Then he proceeded to walk on top of the fence wire! Funny to watch his wiggling and wobbling. Of course he did all this after the light was really fading and it was difficult to get a clear shot.
We have a cardinal who is molting or something and looks rather funny. Last night he was bullying two little birds who recently joined the group at the feeders.
Nature is always entertaining!
Enjoy your day.

Love these pictures.
