As a person who was once skilled in “twenty-five ways to tie a scarf”, “how to choose the perfect tie”, and “how to create a wardrobe for your Caribbean cruise” I do understand the need people feel to dress their bodies in style and to surround themselves with beauty. However, the Bible says, “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?” Matt. 6:28-30
Of course I took that out of context and the point of the verse, in relation to the rest of the chapter, is that we are not to worry about the daily details of our lives, like food and clothing and shelter. God will provide- perhaps not to our specifications, especially if we have made some poor choices, but that is a sermon for another day. However, I also think the verse serves as a reminder that there is beauty all around us, created by God, and it is there to enjoy if we just pay attention.
That’s what I try to do with the camera each day- pay attention. And I have discovered, especially this morning, that try as we might, we are not as imaginative as we think. Our attempts at creating beauty are just poor imitations of nature!
So I offer some beauty from my morning walk. Please remember, when it becomes the latest sensation, that I was the first to introduce you to “vine art”. J And don’t let my poor camera skills detract from the intricacy and exquisiteness of these little abstracts!
Have a beautiful day!

Thanks for sharing your beauty and your perspective!
