Water is my calming, restoring substance. Looking at water, feeling it, hearing it brings peace to my soul. Seeing the pond each morning is such a joy! Yesterday I walked down to see it up close. I watched the fish swimming around. I listened to the little ripples hitting the rocks. I stared at the sun shimmering on the surface. Peace. Calm. Restoration.
Then I had the added wonder of noticing the dragonflies. I didn’t know there were so many different kinds or that they could be such difficult models. They are so busy and so easily startled. I took twenty shots of the striped one before I finally got six that I liked!
I took some good photos of the raccoon last night because I finally got smarter…at least a little smarter. LOL I realized that if she is “trained” to eat in the yard, then perhaps I could just move her food closer to the window. I left a little trail of dog food from the old spot to the new one and this is the result!! Now if I just didn’t have to shoot through the window…
More new flowers each day- lilies, Shasta daisies, black-eyed Susans, plumbago, coreopsis. I do love flowers!
I’m off to visit with my Aunt Betty today. She is one of the world’s nicest people! Then on to Durant to pick up my new glasses. I sure hope they are correct this time. I’m ready to do some serious reading!
Enjoy your day. Find something that restores calm to your restless mind.
