(Katrina- You can skip this blog. Nothing here pertains to you! J)
I love mayonnaise! (See, Kat, I told you not to read.) I control my passion and do NOT put it on French fries or pizza or do anything crazy like the woman I saw on television who carries little packets in her purse. Yep, opens them up and sucks it down as a treat! Yikes! However, I‘ve never found a pasta salad or deviled egg or much of anything else that includes mayo that I won’t at least taste.
For those of you who don’t know Katrina that well, she hates the white stuff! In fact she hates almost anything you can add to or put on top of food. We used to wait an eternity at McDonald’s so she could have a “plain cheeseburger”. And once we went on a picnic and I forgot to make her a plain sandwich. (I’ll bet she can tell you the place and date!)
There was a time in my life when I even made my own mayo because the taste and texture was so much better. I’m too busy, or maybe just too lazy, to do that anymore.
I also like mustard and ketchup and BBQ sauce and salad dressing and lots of other “toppings, condiments, sauces, etc. So I thought I would investigate the dangers of adding too much “stuff” to our foods. The following items are all currently in my refrigerator and being used at least weekly. I didn’t include anything sweet because, believe it or not, we don’t add anything sweet to our food except syrup on pancakes and occasionally some honey on a biscuit. I don’t even have honey in the cupboard right now. And I didn’t worry about anything that can be sprinkled because, again, we don’t use anything except pepper.
I know what I use and when. I also see from the list that I could make some better choices and use less of some items or use them less often. But I’m not giving up mayo. And I’m not going to use the fat free mayo. Been there, tried that. A woman has to have some indulgences.

The more I learn about Katrina, the more I think she isn't allowed at my house. LOL. Tell me it's a matter of time and that she wasn't as perfect in her eating until her kids were older.
I have no comment about my diet. At this point I'm hovering between relatively healthy and thank heavens I had three seconds to put something in my mouth before my children and cats broke/fell off/starting crying/refused to share something.
