I am enjoying my break so much! Haven’t done anything exciting, but I just enjoy having more time for lots of little things that get pushed aside when I’m working. I’ve cleaned and dusted a few areas of the house that have been neglected. Actually cleaned my back porch yesterday! I know, some of you are shocked! The spare room will be next. Then I have new curtains to hang in our bedroom.
I’ve also had more time to visit with friends, and go out to the farm to see my aunt and uncle. I enjoy seeing them so much! I don’t know why I don’t manage to get out there more often.
I’ve been doing more research, although I’ve put off some of it for the weekend when we are expected to have another cold spell.
I finished scanning a box of photos that have been lots of fun to see. I’ll share some in the next few weeks.
I’ve repotted some houseplants and have my seeds ready for the new garden. I’ll plant tomato seeds today or tomorrow. According to my Dad, he and my brother are way ahead of me and already have their tomatoes started and their cold crops in the ground and their potatoes ready… blah, blah, blah…They are much better gardeners and I already know it!! Lol He doesn’t have to remind me every spring!
I checked on my downtown projects yesterday. Everything is in good shape, just wet. It’s a little early to plant anything. I just trimmed the perennials and grasses that still had a few old stalks on them. The daffodils and tulips are up.
Today Gary is off so I’m going to put him to work. We’ll pick up gardening supplies at Lowe’s and then we have a new storage cabinet to put together. It will be nice to have all my tools in one neat place on the patio. I’ll take pictures when we are finished. I also have a new electric trimmer that I want to try out on my mums. Haven’t trimmed them yet!
Still need to make one more trip to the genealogy library and the cemetery and the museum and WalMart and….
It’s only Wednesday! Yeah!
