Robert's cat, Babe, started out her life in a household where she just wasn't appreciated or treated with kindness. So one day Robert rescued her and she has lived a better life ever since. She hasn't always been happy with us. After all, we had Daryl and Annie and Lint already. Then we added Sassy and Chessie. Poor Babe never was very social and didn't like to be part of the group. She remained aloof and attached only to Robert for many years. Robert has moved a couple of times and thought it best to leave Babe with us. Over the years our other cats have died, so now Babe is the queen of the house.
She is also cheap entertainment.
I mentioned earlier that I bought a set of plastic balls for her. Playing with them has become a morning and evening ritual. While the coffee perks we play ball. As I cook dinner in the evening we play ball. She has a great time and gets some exercise.
This morning I decided to take some pictures of her during our games. By the way, yes, her eyes are different. One has a brown splotch on it that has been there for years. I've been told it is a natural part of aging and not to worry unless it is raised or seems to cause her pain or problems, which it does not.
And when she is done, she's done. Time to rest in the sunlight. :)
