I’m sitting here in my robe, enjoying my second cup of coffee. I’m NOT standing in line in front of a store, waiting for them to open so I can fight over bargains. I don’t understand the whole “black Friday” phenomenon. I guess I have too many memories of my days at Macy’s. Crowds and lines and chaos are not my idea of a good time.
The shopping gene skipped me. My mom liked to shop. Gary likes to shop. Katrina likes to shop. I have friends who like to shop so much that it qualifies as a “hobby”. Not me. If I need something I go get it. If I can’t find it I might spend an hour looking around at different stores. After that I’m done. Find something else, look online, do without. The idea of planning a day to “go shopping” is almost painful. Group shopping with family or friends is something I can’t recall ever doing.
So have a good time this morning if shopping is something you enjoy. I’ll be right here.
