One of the neighbor’s longhorns came to visit yesterday. Always nice to greet the neighborhood critters, but I don’t think this one is supposed to visit. The fence police have already found where the culprit broke in and there probably won’t be any more visits for a while. J
We visited some “neighbors” recently. Friday night we ate dinner at the Caddo Café. I’ve raved before about the great BBQ dished up by Shellie Parker and her crew. But Friday night I tasted the best catfish ever!!! Wow! If you are in the area on Friday night, this is the place to fill up on the “all you can eat” special.
Had a great time Christmas shopping at Craighead’s yesterday. Belinda has such a wonderful variety of things. I bought three gifts and several ornaments. She is decorating the store for her anniversary celebration. When she is finished I’ll try to take some photos.
While I was at Craighead’s I bought more of what is now my favorite soap- Canus Goat’s Milk Soap, made in Waterbury, VT. I have very dry skin and I have never before found anything that prevents my shins from flaking and itching. I love this stuff! They also make a great lotion, but I haven’t been using it because I wanted to objectively judge the effects of the soap first. I have been using it for about three months now and I’m amazed by the difference in my skin. Even my hands are smoother. Someone told me a week ago that I have “pretty cuticles”! No one has ever said that before!!
Read an article this morning about a study that says grandmothers are genetically predisposed to favor the grandchildren of their sons over those of their daughters. Dodged the bullet on that one- my son doesn’t have children! Whew!
Speaking of children, I heard on a news report that 17 million children in America aren’t sure if they will eat dinner tonight. Surely there is something we can do to change that.
I read that same article this week. Interesting, huh? Your son doesn't have kids YET. But then you'll fawn all over them cause they will be tiny tots instead of teens. . .
We all have dry skin, but Tyler is so dry he's seen his pediatrician. If you want details, I'll elaborate through email, it's not pretty.
Catfish makes me homesick.
Love you!
