This has been a great weekend for seeing friendly faces! Believe it or not, we get just as busy in our little world as anyone else and we don’t often see family and friends. This weekend I had the privilege of seeing an elderly woman from our old church that I haven’t seen in almost a year. She is such a great woman and I enjoyed talking with her.
I also saw my former teaching assistant from Kingston. It’s probably been a couple of years since I last visited with her. She has been battling some health problems and also taking care of her mother. Please pray for Carol.
I ran into my niece, Jessica, at WalMart and we caught up on some family news. Her children are growing like weeds! Her son is going to be taller than me before he is even in the fifth grade!
Visited at Dollar General with a friend and former co-worker. She is anxious for me to finish my Caddo history book and I assured her that we are on schedule for Thanksgiving weekend. If I just stay off Facebook, I’m sure I’ll finish editing soon.
Also saw three teachers from other districts. We’re all amazed that we are already so close to report card time.
Visited with my neighbors for a few minutes last night. No, I don’t even see them as much as I’d like, and they live less than a mile away!
Gary and I are going to photograph the “yard of the month” today. More friendly faces! They are a wonderful young couple and they work so hard on their beautiful yard. We’re late taking photos because of the rain.
Hope there are some friendly faces around you this weekend.
