Just a few quick photos this august morning. Yes, I meant to write that in lower case letters. August, besides being the name of a month, means "marked by majestic dignity or grandeur" and I think this morning's sunrise qualifies!
I took a "not very good" photo of my little cardinal bloom blowing in the wind. However, I want you to look at the leaves. That is the real reason for growing this vine that is related to the cypress vine and morning glory.
I TOLD you that my cleomes are trying to take over the flower bed! I don't know how they can possibly get any taller. I've been collecting seeds each night.
I love the photo of the morning glory blossom, gourd, and canna leaves. They are all sharing the same fence space. :)

Beautiful pictures of gorgeous plants. I too, adore your gourd photo. Wow. I've not see a cardinal bloom before. Your yard is full of beautiful things.
Even with my sprinkler system and expanding shade from the trees, my plants are at the burning up point. Everywhere leaves are turning crispy on the edges. Yours looks lush and healthy!
Thanks for sharing.
