This will be short because we have waited hours for the weather to clear. I’m on my way to the doctor for my annual checkup. I just want to give you an update on Gary.
He has a boot and crutches and will be off work for six weeks. This is Gary’s first broken bone, his first experience with crutches. To say that it has already been a “learning experience” is putting it mildly. Poor guy. His boot is heavy and awkward. The crutches take a great deal of coordination and skillful maneuvering. In the words of the clerk at the medical supply center, “It isn’t as easy as it looks!” I’m trying to be a good coach. I’ve broken six bones and have used crutches more than a time or two. There are “tricks” to using them and I’m trying to pass those on. One of the first things you have to learn is how to carry anything. So, anyway, you might want to say a little prayer for him. Later…

It's a good thing he's got such a professional in house adviser/trainer. I hear those don't come cheap! Best of luck Gary.
