What’s not to love about the best month of the year? We start off with a ridiculously entertaining holiday, Groundhog Day, wherein a group of otherwise intelligent adults gather to watch an ugly little varmint predict the weather. Then we move on to the birthday of our great president, Lincoln, and our first president, Washington. In between those two is Valentine’s Day. Love, chocolate, flowers, chocolate, red hearts, chocolate…what could be better? Then my birthday!!!! Yeah!!! The next day after my birthday is my oldest brother’s birthday. (He was born when I was four, and I thought he was one of my presents!) Then the month ends with Ash Wednesday and some serious thoughts about our spiritual condition. Even if you don’t participate in Lent, you have to have respect for those who do, and it makes you think about your own beliefs. And February is only 28 days long. Whatever happens, it’s over quickly! All in all, a great month.
A real plus here is that February usually brings us several warm days that promise spring. Already had one yesterday and I put out new solar lights along our front path.
The daffodils are showing their leaves.
The birds are singing.
I love February.
P. S. Happy Birthday today to my BFF Marilyn!!

Thank you for my birthday greeting on your blog. I do love the special times in February. Our church will be having a Banquet for Valentine's Day so that will be special.
