I know, I know. We’ve barely begun to get our winter boots dirty. But my mind is already on spring and my heart is in the garden. How could it be otherwise when I received two seed catalogs this week? Burpee and Bluestone Perennials are always the first to visit my mailbox each season. I admire their enthusiasm and foresight. Who can think about snow while admiring “Summer Madness Hybrid Double Petunia” or “Black Truffle Hybrid Tomato”? How can winter discourage me when I have a picture of “Helenium Mardi Gras” gracing my desk? If you have the blahs, be sure to check out their websites or get your own catalogs.
