Another Heritage Day is history. I won't be able to post the photos until this afternoon, but I just couldn't wait to comment on what a wonderful time I had. It was a great day and I was so proud that Caddo decided to honor our veterans this year. The parade marshals were WWII Veterans and women who assisted in the war effort in factories and other vital jobs. The parade marshals were: Lloyd Boehme, Ovoyde Boydstun, J.O. Culbreath, J.D. Fanning, Graham Fryer, Donald Haggerty, Glovis Hall, Richard Hill, Boyd Newton, Fred Roper, Ernest Slack, B.M. Smith, Maureen Craghead, Bea Foster, Jeri Hadley, Micky Johnson, Marcelle Jones, and Jo Stair.
It's always a joy to see friends and neighbors and classmates at Heritage Day and I managed to visit with lots of people that I don't see often. I want to thank Elva for bringing my precious bit of the Pacific Ocean to me. Sherry- you looked great on television. Opal, I forgive you for not recognizing me! LOL Barbara, you make us all proud. Darius, I'm glad you finished your book. Pat, I miss seeing you more often. Belinda, you work too hard!
Thanks to the Caddo Community Association and the Civic and Cemetery Club for all your hard work. Check back later for photos.
