I hope today is a great day for all of my friends who are moms. I know there will be food and gifts and laughter today. However, let me encourage those few guys who read my blog to remember mom (or your wife) the rest of the year- pick up your socks, refill the soap dispenser, find out where she keeps the toilet paper, put your laundry in the hamper! LOL
I saw my mom yesterday. Yes, I know she's been dead almost nine years, but I passed by the bedroom mirror and there she was. Amazing how family genes go on and on, and startle us when we least expect it. I spent my teen years trying to be as different from my mother as I could, and yet here I am. Every day I do something just the way she would have or the way she taught me to do it. She's probably in heaven smiling and thinking "I told you..."
My husband told me his observation about our own girls. One of them called me a few weeks ago to ask a question. He said, "When they were teenagers they thought you didn't know a thing. Now every time something happens, they call to ask your opinion. You must have gotten a lot smarter over the years!"
Have a great day!

You have a baby brother, I didn't see him in your family photos.
