Today I'm borrowing some advice from the past:
Caddo Herald, October 7, 1921
There is no cure-all for hard times. There never was a time when someone was not hard up. Likewise there never was a time when someone was not in good shape. Improvidence is the cause of most hard times. One should know that good times cannot last forever- that reckoning day will come. Therefore the wise one saves in flush times and is not so burdend when reaction comes. If you spend all you make you have no one but yourself to blame should distress overtake you.
Sounds wise to me...just waiting for my "flush times" so I can save some money. LOL

Savivg for hard times was my Sunday School lesson last sunday.Joseph was working for the Pharaoh. He set aside grain from the 7 good years for the 7 lean ones that were to come. Nothing new under the sun.
