Tonight is our last parent/teacher conference. Pray for the teachers and the parents! Pray that we will put aside our own egos and agendas and simply do what is best for each child. Pray also that my feet do not fail me at about 8pm. LOL It will be a long day.
One of our precious little ones came up to me in the hall yesterday and said, "Mrs. Maurer, do you know that God is watching us all the time?" Yes, sweetie, I'm counting on it!
Children are God's reminder of what is important in life. They have a way of bringing us "back to the basics" at least once a day.
And cats are God's reminder that only He knows the answers to some of life's mysteries...
One of my cats is driving me crazy! First of all, how does she know that it is five minutes before my alarm is scheduled to ring?? And why does she pounce on me- does she think the alarm won't wake me? But what is driving me crazy is that she has decided to sleep on top of one of my aquariums! I guess she has discovered that the lid is warm because I leave the light on. It's only the goldfish tank, but honestly, there are pillows and beds and sofas- find a better place! I hate walking to the laundry room door and seeing her on top of the fish!
