I have two aquariums and a small fish bowl with one Beta. Three days ago I noticed a dead fish in one of the aquariums. I couldn’t just dip it out because it was stuck inside the little plastic fake cave. I told myself I’d get to it…and I did…today. Unfortunately I’ve become that kind of housekeeper. I take care of the laundry and vacuuming, and even clean the bathroom pretty regularly. But the other stuff- dusting, straightening, throwing out old magazines, removing spider webs, cleaning doors and baseboards, disposing of dead fish- well, it eventually gets done. It took me an hour and a half to clean both aquariums if that tells you anything. At least they’re good for another month- unless something dies.
This is count-down week for Heritage Day. Lots of little projects and details to complete. We worked in town for four hours Saturday. Still have some planting to do this week as soon as our chrysanthemums arrive. I love mums!
We went to Lowe’s and bought some shrubs and plants that were 50% off. Got an Autumn Joy sedum- one of my favorite plants. It spreads easily and has very pretty fall color. Also a Goldmound Spirea, Eastern Snowball Viburnaum, Pink Lady Hawthorn, and Bay Breeze Indian Hawthorn. Next week I’ll buy tulips. Soon after that it will be time to plant next year’s poppies.
No more time today. At least you know that my other site will have lots of good photos soon. I love Heritage Day!
