I know, I know. Frightening. But that's how I look this year. So we begin the new year with changes. I'm going to try to be a little more consistent with my blog, and maybe even a bit more entertaining. Who knows?
I've also had an idea that will either be great or drive me over the edge of craziness into the abyss of beyond hope. You be the judge. I've created a new blog for stories that are just too long for this one. In fact I've titled it Stories Too Long. Over the years I've written many stories of my childhood and also created some totally fictional tales. Some have been published, most have not. I hope to amuse you with a few of them this year. But here's the deal: one post per week. That's right, at least until summer, I will only post one story each week. So you have all week to read it and comment on it. The first is a story called "Sweet Peas". Enjoy.
I spent most of today organizing photos and genealogy materials. I really need more boxes and folders and labels! I also took the advice of a woman on television and cleaned out my spice shelf. Now if I could just get up the courage to tackle the front closet! Oh, well, there's always spring break.
Oh, and I wanted to give you an update on the dog. She is now Sabrina and the bane of my existence. She has chewed the start cord off the lawnmower, dug up a tree- yes a baby TREE- and killed it, destroyed a wooden water bowl, and torn up a blanket, rug, and two towels. She refuses to sleep in the carrier we put on the porch for her and has turned it upside down so many times that I just gave up. She is now in an open wooden box, which she has of course tried to chew apart already! If you have any tips on doggie discipline be sure to pass them along!
