Spent most of Saturday on a couple of photography projects. Gary shot some portrait photos for a postcard, then some miscellaneous shots for the Caddo website. Then we did our usual shopping, laundry, cleaning. Planted about fifty bulbs that were donated to our downtown landscaping projects. Today I worked on the website, some research, some personal stuff. Visited with my Dad. Each Sunday night I have the same complaint as half of America- “Where did the weekend go?” I suppose I’m a workaholic by nature, but I always have a list of things to accomplish over the weekend and Sunday night always finds me with part of the list still awaiting completion. So I make a new list for the week, knowing full well that much of it will have to wait for the next weekend. And so it goes… frustrating because I like a sense of completion. I like to check things off and say, “Okay! That’s done.” However, I realize that as long as I have that list going I have a reason to get up in the morning.
I won’t be working on personal projects many evenings this week for sure. Monday night is our City Council meeting. Lots to discuss in connection with our recent grant approval.
Tuesday night, after we vote, we’re going to the SOSU Chorale concert in Durant.
Wednesday nights I’m usually late because of meetings at school.
Thursday night is “Survivor”. Hey, a woman has to rest sometime.
Friday night is the start of next weekend. What did I tell you?
At least I have a long Thanksgiving break ahead. I already have some research plans. And if the weather is nice I’ll work in the yard. And Christmas shopping needs to be done. The aquariums (3) need some serious cleaning. That new article needs editing. I have some publicity to write. And the Caddo website still needs work. I have a list of photographs that I need to take for various projects. The car needs to be taken to the shop for an oil change… Well, there goes the vacation list.
