Sopaipilla Cake, from the kitchen of my friend Kathy Barker
2 cans crescent rolls
2 8oz. pkgs. cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 T. vanilla
1 stick butter
½ cup sugar
2 T. cinnamon
Layer 1 can crescent rolls in bottom of baking dish. Mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and 1 T. vanilla and spread ½ of mixture on crescent rolls. Repeat layer- 1 can of crescent rolls, rest of cream cheese mixture. Melt stick of butter and pour over the top. Mix ½ cup sugar and 2 T cinnamon. Sprinkle over the top. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
