My husband reminded me this morning that I forgot to blog about our wonderful dinner experience. Thanks to the generosity of his boss, we went to a fund raising event last Saturday night for the Southeastern Chorale of SOSU. We were treated to scrumptious hors d’oeuvres and a delicious dinner of marinated chicken breast over linguini pasta with garlic and cream sauce. That was followed by a yummy cheesecake with chocolate sauce. The Chorale members were our servers as well as providing the evening’s entertainment. They sang favorites like “Mr. Sandman”, “One for My Baby”, “Come Fly With Me”, and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. One of Gary’s co-workers, Kerrie Usry, sang a solo, as well as participating in some of the group numbers. She has a great voice and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to hear her sing. Also thoroughly enjoyed Vance Davis and Megan Crews. Well, they were all good. The Chorale is the “cream of the crop”.
Before the dinner there was a silent auction. Afterwards there was an amusing dessert auction. The event raised over $5,000 for the group. Congratulations to the Southeastern Chorale on a wonderful event and fantastic performance.

Thank you for the kudos Mary. It was so lovely to meet you at the benefit and I'm very happy you enjoyed it. I hope to see you and Gary there next year! Kerrie Usry
