You have to be careful when you reprimand kindergarten students.
First you have to make sure they are guilty of the alleged offense.
Next you have to make sure you are stern, but reasonable.
Then you have to make sure they are capable of correcting the mistake.
Last, you have to praise them profusely when they do what you expected them to do.
Then you can be incredibly proud of them when they exceed your expectations!!
After our art lesson this morning-about the parts of a person, seeing things as shapes, working carefully, and always doing our best-my students produced some amazing drawings!! After everyone was finished we sat on the carpet and “ooooohed and awhhhhhed” over each one. Then I asked them if they were proud of their work. Yes!! (Note: Everyone got a "much better" sticker, but for some reason my scanner wouldn't accept some of them as part of the drawing and instead scanned them as separate documents.)
I love it!! Wandering which one is Kaden's??
