My students need to know their addresses and phone numbers for safety and as one of their social studies skills. So I asked one of my boys where he lives.
“Well, you go down the big hill and then you turn where that brown thing is, you know the real tall one, and then you go down the street ‘til you see the shop and that house by it is where we live. It’s white and the roof is blue.”
Of course. :)
lol. They don't even understand the scenario of "if you get lost, how will you help the nice policeman help you get home if you don't know your address?" They think they know.
