A Pot of Gold

Yesterday I read a book about leprechauns and then asked my students what they would do if they found a pot of gold. Here are their replies:

I’d spend it on toys!

I’d buy a horse.

I’d buy a dog, a big dog.

I’d hide it under my bed.

I’d hide it forever!

I’d spend it and buy a house.

I’d paint it black. (I had to ask why!) So no one would know it was really gold!

I’d buy a huge robot.

I’d hide it in my bedroom because no one could find it there.  (I suspect someone has a messy room! LOL)

And the best…

Well then I’d be rich Mrs. Maurer! I’d quit my job!
