I have a simple formula you can use for creating excitement in your classroom.
project + glitter = fun!
We've been making Christmas projects this week and there is glitter all over my room. I'm sure the custodian has probably had some harsh thoughts about it, but she just smiles and says it should all be gone by March!
We dictated our theories as to why Rudolph's nose glows- batteries, lights, Mom magic. Then we colored pictures of Rudolph, complete with glittered red noses.
We made green paper plate wreaths with red bows covered in red glitter.
We made tree ornaments painted with various colors of glitter glue.
Today we will make Christmas trees with sticker ornaments. And we'll have to add a little dab of glitter to each one.
But that should really be the last of the glitter. Well, there is the star project for next month's space unit. And then the glitter hearts for Valentine's Day. Well, maybe the custodian was right. Definitely a clean room by March.
