The following girls went to Durant to the annual 4-H Club contest Wednesday: Marnell Henderson, Ann Self, Ann Cannon, Elva Armstrong, Melva Jane Armstrong, Amaryllis Dufur, Betty Joe Jones, Freda Seymour, Leavona Price, Nadine Pearce, Maxine Ammons, Carolyn Jones, Houstine Boydstun, Bonnie Gordon, Donnis Foster, Patty Ellis, Peggy Reeves, Delores Emerson, Chole Hammonds, Murphy and Dorothy Robinson.
The girls exhibited their dresses and entered in Timely Topic and Team Demonstration contests. Mrs. Raymond Hutchens, Morie Hutchins, and sponsor, Mrs. Russell Fox, accompanied him.
Caddo was winner in the County Grade Tournament with a score of 145 points.
The Caddo A and B girls won the track meet Friday. Patsy Peters was the star runner.
The sophomore girls costumes for the Junior and Senior banquet will be bright, gay, and colorful Spanish skirts with bright boleros and matching sashes; white frilly blouses with pastel flowers in their hair. Shoes of their choice will be worn in matching effect.
The sophomore girls will serve the food and drinks for the Junior and Senior banquet. The girls who will serve are: Joan Hallmark, Lynda Wood, Robbie Sargent, Wennona Armstrong, Ida Sue McGrew, Clara Calhoun, Wanda Welch, Maxine Dufur, Sybel Kee, Dorothy Alexander, Gale Jackson, Ethel Armstrong and Martha Sue Fox.
The girls will be dressed in gay Spanish costumes to carry out the theme of the banquet. The Junior-Senior banquet will be held Friday night at the Community Building.
The 4H Club meeting held at the college Wednesday was most inspiring. Caddo was unusual in that they had the only twins registered. They were Melva Jane and Elva Armstrong. They exhibited dresses and put on a team demonstration. Other winners will be announced next week.
