Mrs. Obe Hale Died in a Durant Hospital Tuesday
Mrs. Obe Hale, age 55, died in a Durant hospital Tuesday afternoon following several months’ illness. Funeral services were at the Caddo Baptist church Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in charge of Rev. J. B. Kirk, pastor. Mhoon funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Hale was born in 1891 at Anson, Texas and with her husband came to Bryan County __ (can’t read) years ago. The family lived five miles southwest of Caddo since. She was a long time member of the Baptist church and an active worker in Midway home demonstration work.
Survivors are her husband, Obe C. Hale; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Yoe, Columbia, S. C.; Mrs. Louise Pearce, Antlers; Miss Harriet Ray Hale, Caddo; a son, John Hale, Durant; a grandson, Harold Joe Pearce; her mother, Mrs. S. J. Hart, Borger, Texas; a sister Mrs. Effie Isler, Hatch, New Mexico; three brothers, D. Hart, Durant, Glenn Hart, Crow, Texas, Roy Hare, Greenville, Texas.
Pallbearers were Lake Brewer, Dale Sawyers, A. W. Sims, John Long, Clyde Welch, and Will Driver. Burial in Caddo Cemetery.
