J. L. McGee was in town Tuesday, reporting considerable damage to oats and corn from the rain.

E. C. Beaty left last Thursday for DeLeon, Comanche, and other Texas points, taking a two weeks vacation.

The eighteen-month-old baby of T. M. Snow died Wednesday of cholera infantum and was buried in Caddo Cemetery yesterday. (not listed in the cemetery records)
W. A. Jones, candidate for district clerk, was here Saturday. He is conducting an active campaign and constantly making friends.
A. W. Peddy was here Tuesday. He says the larger part of the oats were cut when the rain came, therefore the damage is not great in his neighborhood.

Miss Lucy Mae Johnson from Kidd-Key College, Sherman, visited the Heath family this week. Miss Esther returned to Sherman with her for a short visit.
A heavy hailstorm is reported near Banty last Thursday, doing damage to crops and livestock. Some hailstones as large as croquet balls are said to have fallen.

C. D. Robinson was in town Wednesday. He says he thinks the oats were not very much injured by the rain. Though the oats are down, they are not so far gone but that the binder can get them.
W. T. Sprowles, candidate for county attorney, was in Caddo Wednesday renewing his acquaintance with Caddo people. His announcement for county attorney appears elsewhere in The Herald.
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Morris returned from Kansas City last Saturday and have been receiving the congratulations of their many friends since then. They visited Mrs. L. A. Morris in Atoka last Sunday.
The rain Monday was the heaviest we’ve had this year. The ditches and creeks were filled. Much damage was done to the oats, while the corn was benefited. Cotton, though late, is in good shape.
County Attorney McIntosh was here Tuesday. He is a candidate for state senator from this district, composed of the counties of Bryan, Atoka, and Coal; he is making as active a campaign as the duties of his office will permit.
The Woman’s Club will give a Pink Tea at the residence of Mrs. A. E. Folsom Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m., a fee of 10 cents will be charged and the proceeds are to go to the Pavilion fund.
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Merritt, from St. Louis, are visiting the family of M. E. Merritt in Caddo. Mr. and Mrs. Meritt were married last Saturday and are taking this trip as a honeymoon. They will be here about two months.
The Pioneer Telephone Co. has a force of men in Caddo now overhauling and rebuilding their exchange and long distance system. It is expected that when they have finished they system will be as good as that of any other town.

The Czerny Club met Wednesday of last week with Maud Clower. Most all the members responded to their parts on the program. $26.00 was reported and turned over to the treasurer from Czerny Club Tag Day. After business was finished a refreshing ice course was served by the hostess. Our next meeting will be held with Nina Johnson.
